The genus Colocasia is part of the Araceae family. They are sometimes nicknamed "Elephant Ears" due to the surprising size of the leaves which can measure between 60 cm and 150 cm. It is found in several different varieties and colors such as shades of green, purple and black.
These plants love humidity and require moist soil at all times. We recommend high light and temperatures above 20°C for adequate indoor cultivation. Colocasias can also be grown outside during the summer in a partially shaded location.
