Dieffenbachia belongs to the Araceae family and is native to the New World tropics, ranging from Mexico and the Antilles to southern Argentina.
Its oval, pointed leaves are famous for their different shades of green, cream and white. It is able to adapt to varying light levels, but thrives best in filtered light. The soil must be well drained and lightly watered to encourage its growth. It should be noted that this plant can be harmful to humans, dogs and cats.
