Stapelia is a genus of low-stemmed, thornless succulent, primarily native to South Africa and some other parts of Africa. There are around 90 different species of this genus, all characterized by these large, hairy, star-shaped flowers.
Beware of sensitive hearts, some species produce flowers that can give off the smell of rotting flesh in order to attract pollinators.
